"You have to be willing to be vulnerable
in order to grow. You can't
heal what you hide."
Revival for Recovery

We started Revival for Recovery after I went through some struggles throughout my life. You can read most of my story on my blog.
After growing up with a terrible relationship with an alcoholic, unmedicated bipolar Mother. I wanted to take my struggles and turn them into a positive outcome and break the cycle especially, with God giving me two daughters.
I decided to get vulnerable and become a transparent about my life, in doing so I hope to help as many people as I can who may be struggling. I hope to inspire and push others to be the best version of themselves. Owning it, Accepting it and taking Action are the key to you living your best life. Change takes action. I will tell you it may not always be easy, but it will be worth it.
I had addictive tenses throughout my life and could get a hold of them for periods of time, but something happens to women when they reach their 40's. I'm not just talking about their metabolism slowing down, more wrinkles, or needing more sleep. I'm talking about the change that you really want in your life and are scared to try. You're scared because you don't want to fail. Who cares, if you stumble a bit, at least you are recognizing you want more for your life. It's pretty remarkable if you think about it. If you had the right tools to navigate your life better the possibilities are endless. The anxiety, depression, will be at a minimum and the clarity you gain by taking your life back under control is what we all deserve in this lifetime.
If I Knew Then What I Know Now, I will say there are things I would change, a lot of things! I can honestly say now that I'm okay with it. My journey has shaped me into the person I am today. We all make mistakes. No one is perfect and people who act like it is, have more problems than any of us. I have accepted my past and put it behind me. It does not define me. It's the past and that's where it stays. Today, Living in the Present Moment is what matters. TODAY.
I have always said, everything happens for a reason and I truly believe that. Like, for instance, why are you reading this?!?! Most likely because you're looking for more out of your life.

The experiences that have happened throughout our lives are all part of the journey and I'm grateful for each and every experience. It has made me the person I am today and put me right where I'm supposed to be. I can honestly look at myself in the mirror daily and know I'm trying to be the best version of myself. Do I have bad days? Sure of course I do, we all do! It's how you handle the bad days that matters the most. When you're able to handle situations better than your old self would have, that is something to be proud of. Stop having all these expectations. If you live your life with expections you will always be disappointed. Life is about the experiences. Nothing is perfect, so embrace it and Live in The Moment. They come and go so quickly so find JOY in the little things. Like my Grandfather always said, Keep it Simple Stupid. Everyday above ground is a day to be grateful for. Please know there is always hope. Don't hesitate to ask for help. You won't regret it. You deserve to live your best life. Stay Strong
